Firsts.

Since your day of birth, I've found the time to blog about our birth experience, but not about everything that has happened since. So, anytime something I thought was noteworthy happened, I'd very quickly type it in my "notes" application on my phone. Most of these things may seem ridiculous to others, but to me, each and every accomplishment or new thing in your life, I have a strong desire to document. I've written a lot in your baby book, but there are only so many lines on each page, and I've overflowed them all. Therefore, I've decided to copy and paste them on here for safekeeping.
This is just for the first four wonderfully glorious months we've had together so far. So excited to keep growing and learning in love with you my son.

8/8 (your birth day)

-Daddy cuddling listening to "next to you next to me" :)

-First thing Daddy noticed is his chubby cheeks

-Daddy calling everyone and bragging on how well me and you did :)

-Grandma got first diaper change

-Latched on to eat less than an hour after birth!

-Paw Craig sang "You are my Sunshine" to you a lot.

Daddy guessed you'd be 7 lbs

Mommy guessed 8.5 lbs

You were right in the middle 7lb 11oz!

-Got home from hospital

-Meme noticed I rocked when you cried, even if I wasn't holding you. She called me "the rockeness new mommy ever"

First bath me and Daddy gave you. (Sponge bath)

Daddy saw first smile tried to record it

-Mommy saw smile and recorded it

-First poopy all over mommy 2:25am tuesday. (1 week old)

-Daddy went back to work.

-First fingernail cut

-We slept at the same time for the first time alone, no choking!

-Mommy's first time home alone with you.

-First time in his swing.

-Peed in my food.

-First time meeting Grandpa Morgan

-Second bath: daddy washed you, mommy calmed you. Teamwork!

-First trip somewhere besides the doctors office. We went to Outback Steakhouse.

-First night sleeping in bedroom with mommy and daddy (in your Daddy's old bassinet)

Had troubles burping you the first couple weeks

-First appearance of baby acne, I thought was a peanut allergy! (Partially because of the fact that I couldn't even stand the smell of peanuts/peanut butter when I was pregnant.)

-First time Daddy played guitar for you.

First noticed a pattern in your breastfeeding schedule.

-First nap with mommy @ 1am

-Wiped your pee on your face (family tradition) Will tell you about some day.

-Nickname I keep calling you lately, "Sweet Pea."

-First time mommy showered while watching you (Grandma was still in the house) but for the most part we were alone.

-Been trying to hold your head up for a few days. Getting stronger and stronger!
-Making some really funny faces, especially at Grandma Tara.

Went in your room for the first time, I think you like it, as much as a baby can anyways.

First trip out alone with mommy. Went to the store, then to visit Kat and Trey.

First time meeting another baby, Trent Sawyer Greene, at the hospital.

First full night and day alone with mommy while daddy was at work. We did pretty good! Despite my incredible nervousness.

Dad has been trying this past week to get you to stand and lift your head. You're getting better at holding your head, will hold it up for about 20 seconds

Found out you have GERD (Explains the aforementioned burping and spitting up issues)

Also think you are lactose and soy intolerant, so I've had to cut them out of my diet.

First REAL bath (not a sponge bath) and trip to Summerville! (Hour and a half drive) you did great! And got to meet your buddy Dillon Fox Baker (2nd baby you've ever met)

Ever since we got you home you prefer to wear nothing but a diaper, and at night you like being swaddled.

Picked out your first toy in Columbia. A baby einstein musical toy that lights up. Makes you stop crying every time. (Soon after we named it "the magic toy")

-First time laying in your crib. You didn't sleep just watched your mobile.

-First nap cuddled with mommy and daddy on the couch.

Daddy's been trying to get you to laugh when tickled since you were born but you still haven't. You just wiggle and get pissed, and grunt.

-First time in walker. You can already move sideways and backwards in it, and you love pushing the buttons, spinning the mirrors, and honking the horn!

Dunno if I've mentioned it before but you've been sleeping through the night basically since 2 weeks old. Now, at almost 3 months, you sleep about 10- 12 hours every night.

Establishing nap time at 3pm. You fight sleep like crazy, won't nap if I'm in the room. You just stare at me with big puffy red eyes till you can't see me anymore then you pass out.

(Four month bday!) opened your first present! You opened it practically on your own! It was a monkey rattle from Auntie Franchesca, you love it!

First time trying baby food! Sweet potatoes :) At first you were giving funny looks but by the end you were leaping towards the spoon and trying to grab the container out of Daddy's hand. I cried, we're so proud of you big boy!

You stood holding onto an activity cube at Auntie Franchesca's, you've been standing by holding our fingers forever, but this was the first time I found something the perfect height for you to grab and hold yourself up on.
