Week 7

Day 43

February 12th
Anytime you are holding a stuffed animal and I sing "ohhh sweet baby, ohhh he loves him" you'll hug the stuffed animal just like this, by lifting him up to your shoulder and tilting your head into it. It's pretty darn adorable.

Day 44

February 13th
I did your Valentine's Day pictures today. You had a little sign next to you offering "Free Eskimo Kisses" next to a pile of snowballs (not pictured here).
This is one of my favorite shots of you for the day, maybe ever actually.
You look like such a little model and I'm so in trouble when you become a teenager.

Day 45

Febraury 14th
My little Valentine
Today we went to a 3D movie, then to Dairy Queen
(not the best idea for a lactose intolerant baby lol, but we still found you something),
and then to Air it Out (a building full of inflatable stuff to play on) and we had a blast!
You were nervous at first, but after I would do each thing with you once you were ready to try them on your own. You looked terrified all the way down this big slide and then once you got to the bottom you'd start madly giggling and climbing around to go again.

Day 46

February 15th
The snow on the ground had just melted so it was a bit yucky outside.
We'd swing together for a while, then you'd hop down and run off,
get about 15 feet away, and turn back to see me still on or near the swing and then come running back to swing some more, over and over again :)

Day 47

February 16th
Today I took you to the church playground for the first time, it's been a while since we've been to a playground so it was neat to see you really getting into it at this age, a little scary too though. You climbed up as high as possible without hesitation - your duck in tow. The bigger kids at the playground (all girls) kept running up to ask me if they could take turns holding you. So they played "pass the Spencer" for a bit and you soaked up the attention like a sponge, always such a little flirt.

Day 48

February 17th
We took your Great Grandma to the chinese restaurant in town, she talked about how much you look/act like my Father (her son) which makes my heart smile.
Also, you really like teriyaki chicken on a stiiiiiick.

Day 49

February 18th
We got out the mountain bike today and went for a ride.
You sat on the handlebars with a big smile on your face as we cruised down the slopes.

Week 6 - 2014

Day 36

February 5th
I say "no Spencer, don't eat the colors" -  you respond "eat colohrs no no"
...and then proceed to shove them into your mouth.

Day 37

February 6th
Great Grandma and you shared some spaghetti 'Lady and the Tramp' style
at the Macaroni Grill after Maw's doctors appointment.

Day 38

February 7th
My Alfafinator.

Day 39

February 8th
Playing on the 1970s Sit 'n Spin that Grandma got you.
You haven't figured out how to do it on your own yet,
so we spun on it a little differently than instructed.

Day 40

February 9th
I love watching you observe the world around you,
the way your face lights up just melts me.

Day 41

February 10th
So ..I'm not gonna lie, I kinda (really) excitedly freaked out in a super-embarrassing-spastic-Ma sort of way when we walked into the grocery store and I saw these mini-carts up front. If you were older, you might have pretended not to know me lol. But that is part of what is so great right now- you get excited about little stuff like this too. I hope you never stop finding small joys in life (yes even a mini shopping cart can be a fun time). You pushed this cart all around the store and put several items into it with such pride on your face. Oddly enough, an impressive assortment of soaps seemed to be what you grabbed the most of for your cart. This was simple and silly, but nevertheless it made my day.

Day 42

February 11th
So we kind of failed at our first snowy day photo together,
in an awesomely epic hilarious dorky sort of way. And I kind of ❤ it.
