THE
VERY BIG DAY
It
was such a long way
to
your mommy’s that day.
But
we couldn’t wait to see
Her…and
You in her belly.
We
got there real late
but,
she stayed up to wait.
We
did lose our way
so
she stood in her driveway.
I
got out of the car
and
hugged her real hard.
It
felt really nice
so,
I hugged her twice.
Your
dad wasn’t home
so
your mom was alone.
But
he came home the next day
so
he wouldn’t be late.
We
got up around noon
ate
breakfast, and soon
Your
mom layed on the couch
you
kicked, she said “Ouch”!
I
said, “I want to feel”,
so
she layed really still.
I
put my hand on the spot,
and
you started kicking a-lot!
I
laughed and I cried.
I
was so full of pride.
My
daughter, you see,
was
a mommy, like me.
The
next day was “The Day”.
We
hardly could wait.
We
were going to see,
what
you were to be.
It
was an hour & a half ride,
and
your mommy cried.
She
really wanted her dad,
and
it made her real sad.
That
he couldn’t be there,
in
that moment to share.
But
I hope that she knew,
that
he was there too
in her and in you!!
We
finally got there,
with
a little time to spare.
Then,
it was our time to go.
The
lights were down low.
Your
mommy layed down.
No
one made a sound.
There
you were to be seen,
on
a big TV screen!
It
was in black and white,
but
Oh what a sight!
A
leg, then a foot,
a
butt, then a “WHAT???”
“Yes,
It’s a BOY”,
we
all shouted with joy!
Your
mom and your dad
Were
real
proud of what you had.
There
was no mistake.
There
would be blue in the cake.
Then
your sweet little face
lit
up the whole place!
It
was amazing to see
what
you turned out to be.
And
to hear your heart beat
The
whole thing was so neat!!!
I
cant wait till you’re here.
The
time is so near.
Three
months now to go.
I’m
sure they’ll go slow!!
But
we will all be there!
Your
birthday to share.
On
that great day,
I’ll
be there to say
That’s
my GRANDSON!
Isn’t
